The European Animal Research Association (EARA) invites you to join this online media training session, on 11 April at 2 pm EEST, for Greek researchers and animal research stakeholders. This session will equip you with the tools you need to start communicating about your animal research to a wider audience.
Based on EARA’s Communications Handbook, we will cover why it’s important to be open and transparent about animal research, give tips on how to start talking to the media, plus advice about what to do in crisis situations.
This interactive online workshop, via Zoom, is aimed at researchers who use animals in their research, as well as veterinarians, animal welfare professionals and communications staff, who are interested in developing their skills and expanding their conversations specific to animal research.
Topics discussed include:
- the importance of improving public engagement.
- political initiatives in the US and Europe to phase-out of animal research.
- dealing with a communication crisis.
A certificate of attendance will be provided after the training.
This is an online event only and will be conducted in English.
