HSfN submitted a letter (see pdf below) to FENS during the FENS forum 2018 in Berlin, supporting Prof. Nikos Logothetis, at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics (MPI-BC) in Tübingen. Prof. Logothetis has been driven to close its primate research following a lack of appropriate support from the MPS’s leadership, after harassment and unsubstantiated allegations by “animal rights” activists that commenced in 2014. The members of the Hellenic Society for Neuroscience (HSfN)
express our solidarity and support to Prof. Nikos Logothetis and his colleagues, as well as our serious concern over the far-reaching consequences of the way this closure came to effect could have on the future of research in Europe. You can read the full letter in the following link:
During last week, FENS and SFN jointly released a statement in support of Prof. Nikos Logothetis, which can be found here.
